He specialises in advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), alongside comprehensive care in general gastroenterology, hepatology, and inflammatory bowel disease.
He holds Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and completed an Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship at Western Health, Melbourne.
Dr Kannuthurai is actively involved in teaching, research, and clinical service development, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to national guidelines.
