What is Open Access Endoscopy?

Open access endoscopy means that your GP can refer you directly for an endoscopy without needing to see a specialist first in our rooms.

It is a safe and effective way of offering timely endoscopy to our patients. Your GP will assess your suitability for open access pathway. If you would rather see us first in the rooms to discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure, please inform us and we will organise the consultation.

Our goal is to provide you with the best care in the safest way possible. If after reviewing your referral, we feel that you require a face to face consultation, we will advise you so.
