You can request an appointment from our webpage. You will need a doctor’s referral to be seen. Please upload the referral on the webpage or bring it with you on the day of appointment. Alternatively you can call our rooms and our receptionist will be able to book an appointment for you.

Yes, however you will not be eligible for the Medicare rebate.

There will be a small gap for consultations which is lower than the recommended AMA rate. It will vary if you are a new or a review patient. Medicare will cover a large portion of the fees, provided there is a valid referral from a general practitioner or specialist. Department of Veterans Affairs patients are bulk billed.

  • Your Medicare Card
  • Your private health Fund Card
  • Your Pension Card
  • Your Veterans Affairs Card (DVA)
  • Your medical history, list of medications you are taking
  • Bring any test results that are relevant to the consult (i.e. Blood test results, Stool test results, ultrasound report and film, x-ray report and film, CT report and film, MRI report and film)

We perform endoscopy at Sunnybank Private Hospital, St Andrews Hospital Ipswich and Ipswich Day Hospital.

Open access endoscopy means that your GP can refer you directly for an endoscopy without needing to see a specialist first in our rooms. It is a safe and effective way of providing timiley endoscopy to our patients. Please see more information Click here.

If you think you may be suitable for open access endoscopy, please obtain a referral from your doctor and contact us.

You will need to confirm this with your health fund. Usually you will need to pay an ‘excess’ which is determined by your health fund. Apart from excess (paid once annually) usually there is no other out of pocket expense.

It does vary from hospital to hospital so we suggest you to please contact us to find out more.

In most cases you need to stop your blood thinning medication, however this is decided individually in each patient. Your specialist will determine this prior to your procedure.
