Yes, you can book directly without a GP referral, but you won’t be eligible for the Medicare rebate unless you have one. We recommend arranging a referral beforehand to minimise out-of-pocket costs.
Consultation fees at My Gut Care are below AMA rates, with a small gap fee that may vary depending on whether you are a new or returning patient. Open-access endoscopy lets GPs refer you directly for a gastroscopy or colonoscopy without first seeing a specialist, providing safe and efficient access to procedures. Ask your GP for a referral and contact us to book.
